FILLING A VOID IN UNDERWOOD

The lack of a community grocery store in conjunction with the effects of the ongoing pandemic have created a greater need for Community Cupboard of Underwood’s food distribution services, as demand has recently spiked.
Located at 208 Lincoln Ave, Underwood’s local food pantry has served 133 households with 31,401 pounds of food from September 2019 through August 2020. And though Community Cupboard is averaging 24 families per bi-monthly distribution, an unprecedented 36 clients attended one of the charity’s September food-sharing events.
