Eye clinic gets a new look

After less than two months of construction, the Eyecare Professionals’ new facility is open for business. The eye clinic hosted an open house and eyewear style show last week and many community members turned up to check out the new building. Eyecare Professionals practitioner Dr. James Helmers said there are some major differences between the new facilty and the Eyecare Professionals’ former home in the Red Plaza. The new building has a more modern style interior and the building’s location will be better for business, Helmers said. The business was forced to relocate to its new home on Border Lane, next to Dakota West Credit union, after Marlin Leidholm bought out the attached properties at Red Plaza. Long-time Eyecare Professionals employee Cindy Kuntz said it’s business as usual these days in the new location. She said the clinic has been busy every day of the business week, including Tuesdays and Fridays when the practitioners are in the office.
