Extension office saw 11% increase in participation at State Fair
The North Dakota State University Extension Office gave “exciting” updates to the McLean County leaders highlighting the growing programs through the service.
During the Oct. 29 commission meeting held at the McLean County Courthouse in Washburn, Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources Sarah Bedgar gave an NDSU Extension update for McLean County.
“A lot has happened since September,” she told commissioners, first highlighting the North Dakota State Fair. “We had a busy state fair.”
Bedgar told commissioners she was “excited to announce” there was an 11% increase in static and exhibits with live animals.
In total, 457 kids participated in the events at the state fair.
“Wow,” said Commissioner Steve Lee. “How many were from McLean County.”
