Dollars for Scholars event shimmers for crowds

Was it the list of celebrities, the great food or the bright lights of Vegas Nights that brought out the crowds last Saturday night? No one is saying because like in Vegas what happens there stays there. What is known is that just over 300 people were able to take in the sights and sounds of Vegas during the annual Washburn Dollars for Scholars Dinner Dance Saturday night. Fun included music performed by Elvis (James Cavo), Bette Midler (Julie Hudson-Schenfisch) and Cher (Allegra Dahl). Board member Judy Beaudry said that it was getting to the point where they almost had to say they were sold out. The last week had some great sales for the board. Beaudry said everyone still fit in comfortably and ate well.
