County will keep Washburn insurance agent
After spending several years with the same insurance representative, the McLean County Commission has opted not to change agents.
During the commission meeting Jan. 21 held at the courthouse in Washburn, McLean County Auditor Beth Knutson told county leaders she received an email from Farmers Union Insurance Rep. Chad Oswald of Wilton asking the county to consider switching agents.
Knutson explained to the commissioners their current insurance agent is Mike Nelson, who also works for Farmers Union Insurance out of Washburn. “It would be the same company but different agent,” Knutson
said.
