County Relay for Life coming up

It’s time to strike out cancer.
In just a few days, teams of supporters from across McLean County who want to see cancer eradicated will gather for the annual McLean County Relay for Life. The event is Friday, June 10. The host community is Garrison.
Relay for Life recognizes those who have overcome cancer and their caregivers. It also remembers and honors those who have fought the fight but who have passed on.
One of the trademarks of a Relay event are the luminary bags that are placed around the perimeter of the football field. In Garrison, luminaries are available at CHS-Garrison, BHG, Inc., offices and Garrison State Bank & Trust.
Luminary bags are available at the Washburn and Underwood clinics. Other locations in the county are being arranged.
To secure bags for distribution, call Relay event coordinators Deleene Wilcox or Traci Ruhland.
