City to increase utility costs in 2014

The Washburn City Commission met Monday to discuss several items of business.
The board approved liquor license renewals for Bickert Enterprises, Enerbase, Captain’s Cabin and Mac’s Place at the meeting.
Several local businesses applied for updated liquor licenses and were approved at previous meetings.
Mark Baisch came before the commission to request reimbursement of additional costs incurred during a sewer reline project on his property.
Baisch believes Quam Construction, who helped work on the project, is responsible for the additional costs. However, in a letter from Quam Construction based in Wilmar, Minn., they believe Baisch is basing his information off work done years ago by companies other than their own.
