City schedules auditor interviews

Five individuals from a pool of ten applicants have been selected to interview for the Washburn City Auditor position, with closed meetings scheduled to take place next week.
The Washburn City Commission approved a motion Monday night to interview five applicants for the vacant city auditor position, with interviews set for two separate days next week.
The commissioners met in a special session Monday evening and agreed to schedule 45-minute long interviews with each candidate next week. Three interviews will take place on May 1, with two following on May 2.
Commissioners also suggested giving each interviewee the opportunity to tour the city following their session with the commission.
