A driver on the run blasted through two sets of spike strips before finally rear-ending a patrol car and coming to a stop in Washburn Monday afternoon.
Thirty-nine-year-old Cheyenne Seminole of Fargo was arrested Monday and charged with at least 10 felonies, after leading law enforcement on a pursuit through Burleigh and McLean County.
State radio alerted McLean County officers at about
1:45 p.m. Monday that Seminole had almost hit a Bismarck police officer before fleeing in her vehicle north. Officers were later advised that Seminole had a current warrant in McLean County for failing to appear in court on a felony drug case.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a vehicle matching the description was spotted headed north on U.S. Highway 83 by a McLean County officer, who attempted to pull her over. Seminole continued northbound, nearly striking officer vehicles on multiple occasions.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Department deployed spike strips on two different points in the chase, but the suspect vehicle continued on its rims north toward Washburn. As the driver started driving into the city and showed no sign of stopping, law enforcement made a decision.
