The annual meeting of the Washburn School board members included discussion on another positive looking future. More funds and more students meant the 2013-2014 school year is already looking good. Along with the usual approvals that must be done at the annual meeting, the board welcomed in new board member Courtney Seiler and thanked outgoing member Shelly Charging for her service to the community. Charging was a member of the school board since 2007. Regular business included: -Rick Tweeten was approved as Chairman of the board. Brent Petersen was approved as the vice chairman of the board. The Leader-News was named the official newspaper for the school. Depositories of building fund money were named as Farmers Security Bank and Dakota West Credit Union.
