Aging commission urges participation from McLean, Mercer counties
The Mercer/McLean counties Commission on Aging is urging local participation so residents not only have a better understanding of the organization, but so the organization can better help serve the demographic of those it is set up to help.
After a lengthy and somewhat heated conversation at the McLean County Commission meeting earlier this month, the Mercer/McLean counties Commission on Aging held its quarterly meeting and set time aside to help answer and clarify how processes work.
McLean County meeting
On Dec. 7, the McLean County Commission met at the courthouse in Washburn for its first meeting of the year. On the agenda “Roxanne Kapanke – Discussion on Senior Citizen Funding” was listed under new business.
Discussion were brought question on how funding was distributed from the county level to senior programming, who decides how that funding is spent, where accountability was, programming in general more.
