A path of positivity

Those who ventured down the Washburn walking path this spring may have stumbled upon some special tokens of encouragement placed along the asphalt.
The Washburn Methodist Church recently launched a new outreach effort, placing inspirational painted rocks along the walking path in town.
Kayla Buckley said the idea was proposed in the fall, and the church decided to try out the endeavor.
During this year’s Lion’s Carnival, the church brought rocks and paint and had kids paint custom pebble pieces. The children could then take their rock, or donate it to be placed around town.
This spring, the rocks were taken and placed along the walking path, in hopes of providing some extra encouragement.
