Underwood has two Wendy’s Heisman state finalists

North Dakota’s Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalists include Underwood High School students Samantha Cottingham and Jeremy Wirtz. Samantha Cottingham has an A average in her classes. She has been honored at the local Masonic banquet, she’s won the Distinguished Student Award and has been honored with the Babe Ruth Award. In sports, she has served as the captain of the basketball team; she was named MVP of the golf team and was an All-State golfer as a junior; served as captain of the volleyball team. She’s been editor of the yearbook; member of the high school band; and served as junior class president.
