Two losses don't stop Comets from District Tourney plans

In their second to last week of the regular season, the Underwood boys played two tough games. The week started Tuesday when the Comets hosted Steele-Dawson. "The Comets really had a tough test against the Pirates," said head coach Kyle Hunt, "They have a nice team with one of the best players in the state." Steele-Dawson’s big man, Randall, had a tough time pushing past Underwood’s defense, but Hunt said that their other players really stepped up. "We just came out and played a bit too timid, we did not attack the basket or take care of the ball," Hunt said. Their loss to the Pirates taught them a lesson about how to work when up against aggressive teams, and those tools came in handy when they traveled to Washburn the following Monday. "We played well at times, but not for the whole 32 minutes," Hunt said.
