Trojans top Royals

The Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans girls team traveled to South Prairie to take on the Royals last Tuesday night. They picked up a 46-24 win over the Royals to up their record to 4-1. The Royals slipped to 0-4.
Next on the schedule for the Trojans is a bus trip to Richardton/Taylor on December 10; December 17, a home game with Max, and December 20, it is back on the bus to Solen.
The Solen and Max games are girls and boys double header games.
Senior guard Morgan Reiser led all scorers with 22 points against the Royals and scored all eight first-quarter points for the Trojans. They led at the end of one, 8-4.
There were many shots put up the first quarter by both teams that missed the mark resulting the low first quarter score.
Second-quarter action had the Trojans making five free throws on eight tries and Sophie Sparrow added a pair of triples.
