The Garrison-Max-Central McLean Titans picked up a pair of pretty nice victories Monday night against a Crosby Cubs team that came in with a 9-1 record. The Titans came from behind, then held off a late rally to defeat the Cubs 8-6 in the opener. In the second game, the boys in blue won again, this time by a score of 14-3. In the opener, the Titans flinched, falling behind 3-0 before adding a run in the bottom of the third. Enjoying finally getting to touch the plate, the Titans erupted for five more runs in their half of the fourth inning. Highlighting the scoring was a key double by Sam Hultberg. Adding an exclamation point was Jake Fannik who put one out of the park. The Titans banged out 10 hits against Kyle Stephens and Brock Overbo. Hultberg helped himself out, going the distance to pick up the win. He also fanned four Cub batters.
