Snyder, LeRoy pace tracksters

The Cougars saw their first track and field action this past Tuesday in Hazen at the Bison-Miners invitational track meet, the Cougar girls tallying six points and the boys posting five, as they faced some of the top runners in the state from Carrington to Dickinson Trinity.
Mackenzie Snyder was the lone Cougar girl to place individually, as the junior speedster placed eighth in the 400 open with a time of 1:07.38.
Snyder joined her teammates in placing in both the 400 relay and mile relay.
The team made up of Snyder, McKenna Wilson, Maggie Eng and Emily Eichhorst placed seventh in the 400-meter relay with a time of 56.71, while the team of Snyder, Eng, Lexie Jacobson and Raleigh Naser combined to place sixth in the mile relay with a time of 4:37.62.
