Rough week for Comet netters – no worries

The Underwood Comets did not have their best results on the volleyball court this past week, falling to Flasher 3-0 on the Comets’ home court Tuesday, and they won just one set at the Shiloh Invitational Saturday.
Comet Head Coach Mary Hefta isn’t too worried about the slight setback for her team that started the season 3-0 in regular game action.
All of the sets against Flasher were close, as were the sets in the Shiloh tournament, noted Hefta.
South Border, which went on to win the tournament, defeated the Comets 25-16 and 25-14 in pool play.
“We were in every game,” said Hefta. “We didn’t have any blowouts, and that’s what I really like to see. We hung with every team.”
Comet Maria Wirtz said they just didn’t have their “A” game Saturday.
