Raiders top Cougar gridders

The Cougars put up some high numbers in the air and on the ground Friday night at Richardton-Taylor, but the number that mattered the most wasn’t high enough as the Raiders bumped off the visiting Cougars by the score of 44-32.
“It was just a good football game,” commented Central McLean co-coach Kevin Dockter. “I think both teams were pretty strong offensively , but to give up 44 points, we can’t do that.
The Raiders went to their ground game to pick up most of their real estate, scoring all of their touchdowns with short runs as they picked up 353 ground yards.
The Cougars, on the other hand, picked up more yards going to the air, as they collected 206 yards passing, including 60 and 40-yard scores to Ty Snyder and Kayden Hornberger, respectively.
Snyder and Hornberger led the Cougars offensively, with Snyder reeling in four catches for a total of 142 yards, while Hornberger had three catches for a total of 52 yards. Quarterback Trapper Jacobs was good for 50 percent passing, connecting on six of 12 attempts for 155 yards. Snyder was good for two of two passes when he took over in the quarterback position.
