No movie ending for Cougars

A lot of people are familiar with the movie Remember the Titans. As far as the Central McLean Cougars are concerned, they’d probably rather forget them.
The Titans of Towner-Granville-Upham put the kibosh on the Cougars’ goal of advancing in post-season play by defeating them 34-0 during first-round action of the Class B nine-man playoffs in Towner.
“We knew they had a really good running back and quarterback, and that proved to be true,” said Cougar Co-coach Kevin Dockter.
The running back in question was Shayden Luna, who rushed his way to all four of the Titans’ touchdowns, the first coming midway through the first quarter when he broke for a 26-yarder.
“We moved the ball some – we just weren’t able to score,” said Dockter. “We started knowing we knew what we didn’t want to do, and that was play going into the wind -- and that’s the way we did, and that really hurt us.”
The Cougars picked up a total of 135 yards for the game, opting to avoid fighting the wind as well as TGU, going to the ground game to pick up 113 of their yards.
