Midkota outlasts Comets

A couple short dry spells led to the downfall of the home-standing Comets last Friday as Midkota was able to hold off Underwood by the score of 53-49. “Take away those six minutes, it probably was a whole different game,” commented Underwood coach Steve Cottingham. Midkota took a quick 15-8 lead the first quarter, and was able to hold on through the next three stanzas to take the win. Despite the loss, Cottingham says he was glad to see the team respond well to the more up-tempo type of game they were playing against Midkota.
