Lady Comets put it all together

Having a solid base for this year’s Lady Comets basketball team has been an encouragement for Head Coach Toni Cottingham. The Comets are returning most of the same team they had a year ago since there were no graduating seniors. "I have 11 returning letter winners, all five of my starters," said Cottingham as she talked about the solid off-season and the team camps her girls participated in this last summer. She added, "I saw the girls put time into their individual games." Because the Comets have had a good off-season, Cottingham believes that they will have a strong team and a good season. She said, "This season we are looking to become deeper, more consistent on the offensive end, to change some things on the defensive end, become more scrappy."
