Holsteins hold off Cougars in home final

After delivering a sound pummeling to the Grant County Coyotes Friday night, the Cougars suffered a gutwrenching blow Saturday night in their final home game of the season when the New Salem Holsteins knocked off the Cougars by the score of 56-50.
The loss put the Cougars at 12-7 overall for the season, that including a 76-42 drubbing of District 10 foe Max Tuesday night in Turtle Lake, leaving the Cougars with a 4-1 District 10 record and the second seed in the upcoming District 10 tournament in Washburn. The Cougars will be taking on the winner of the Friday Wilton-Wing vs Center-Stanton game this Saturday at 7 p.m.
Garrison is taking the number one seed into the tournament, and will be taking on the winner of Friday’s Washburn vs. Max game.
