Harriers compete at state
Five Central McLean runners represented the Cougar athletes at the State Class B Cross Country Meet held Saturday in Valley City.
Senior Cole Wilson was the lone boy runner representing the Cougars, finishing the race in the top half of the field, placing 118th out of 293 runners with his time of 20:04.8 on the five-mile course.
New Town’s Jaiven Hall was the top individual finisher, winning with a time of 16:02.
In the girls’ competition, senior McKenna Wilson paced the Cougars with her 116th-place finish with a time of 23:23.2.
Winning the race ws Hillsboro-Central Valley’s Reagan Baesler with a time of 18:27.5.
