Goven, Fuentes lead Cougar orators
Central McLean’s Grace Goven garnered first place in Speech to Persuade at Saturday’s speech meet in Washburn, the second first-place finish by a Central McLean student this speech season.
Gracie Fuentes captured the top prize in Dramatic Interpretation Feb. 20 in Washburn.
The Cougar orators have had several second-place finishes this season, but this is only the second time one of the students has captured first place.
