Girls’ varsity team chalks up two more wins on the season

It was a busy week for the Central McLean County girls’ basketball team. After defeating the Solen Sioux 78-30 during Saturday’s matchup in Turtle Lake, the team went on the road and dominated the Standing Rock Warriors 61-28 Monday evening.
With a strong performance from buzzer to buzzer, the Cougars showed confidence and endurance throughout the games.
The Cougars may play the Sioux again at the 2022 NDHSAA Class B Region 5 Tournament in Mandan if Solen defeats Flasher on Friday. The Cougars are slated to play the winner of that game at 7:30 pm on Monday.
