Friday Night Lights: Cougars win fi rst home game

After defeating Richardton 30-0 on the road, the Cougars football team continued its winning streak with a 14-8 win over Hettinger-Scranton Friday night in Turtle Lake. The Cougar s of fense connected in the first quarter, with Max Corcoran catching a 61-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Cade Kjelstrup. Hettinger reached the end zone in the first quarter as well, with a two-yard run followed by a two-point conversion, making the score 6-8 Hettinger at the end of the first quarter. The Cougars were quick to respond in the second quarter, with Andrew Eichhorst catching a 43- yard pass from Kjelstrup. Wyatt Wagner ran in for a two-point conversion, making the score 14-8.
