Frey tops 2021 statistics with 1,344 rushing yards

The 2021 Central McLean Cougar s footba l l team concluded their season Oct. 8 with a win against Beach. They finished in fourth place in Region 5 and did not qualify for post season play.
“It was nice to end the year with a win,” said coach Grant Singer. “A lot of different emotions happen in a game like that. It’s nice to send the seniors off with a win, but at the same time we wanted to make playoffs and I know a lot of guys wish we were still practicing.”
One of the highlights for 2021 was the rushing effort of 200-pound senior running back Easton Frey. Through the season Frey accumulated 1,344 yards rushing on 135 carries for an average of 9.96 yards-per-carry and 61 receiving yards. He amassed 20 touchdowns and his longest run was 90 yards. He averaged 168 rushing yards per game.
