Eng places fifth in triple jump at State Track & Field Meet
Central McLean’s Adlyn Eng placed fifth in the triple jump, and the Lady Cougars placed in two relay events in the Girls’ Division of the State Class B Track & Field Meet, held May 23-25, at the MDU (Montana-Dakota Utilities)Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
Eng recorded a jump of 35 feet, three inches to finish fifth in the triple jump behind Ella Olson (37’ 0”) of Fargo Oak Grove Lutheran, Dedra Wood (36’ 11”) of Bismarck Shiloh Christian, Kylie Simpson (35’ 8.5”) of Bottineau, and Ashley Martodam (35’ 5.5”) of Rugby. Eng also competed individually in the long jump, where her leap of 16 feet, two inches, left her in 12th place out of 29 competitors. Olson was also the state champion in that event with a jump of 18 feet, four and a half inches.
