DL-B pitcher stymies Cougars
Monday’s first outing of the season turned into a pitching clinic put on by Des Lacs-Burlington’s Erica Hermanson.
The eighth-grader struck out 12 batters on the way to a 23-0 win over the Cougars.
"It was a rough first game for the Cougars," commented Central McLean Coach Kyle Hunt. "We had a couple errors early on and never recovered.
"DLB’s pitcher also shut us down striking out 12," added Hunt.
It was the first game of the season for the Cougars, who have a lot of girls in different positions than they were last year, so there’s definitely a learning curve.
