County 'boys' begins Jan. 8
The meat of the basketball season begins in earnest next week with the start of the annual McLean County Boys’ Basketball Tournament. The tourney will be in Garrison Jan. 8-10 with tip-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. the first two days of the event. The three-day tournament features Max, Washburn, Bismarck JV, Turtle Lake-Mercer, Underwood, Garrison, Center-Stanton and Minot JV. Thursday Jan. 8 action begins with Bismarck JV going up against Max at 3:30 p.m. At 5, Washburn and Center-Stanton square off. In the evening session, Turtle Lake-Mercer tangles with Underwood. First day action closes with Garrison meeting the Minot High JV team.
