Cougars’ incredible season ends at State Qualifier
The Central McLean Cougars’ remarkable 2024-25 basketball season came to an end Saturday night in Minot after a tough 60-36 defeat against Westhope/Newburg in the State Qualifier round.
The loss closes the book on what was an unforgettable year for the Cougars, who defied preseason expectations and cemented themselves as one of the best teams in Class B basketball.
Though the Cougars fell just one win short of reaching the NDHSAA Division B State Tournament, their accomplishments throughout the season have been nothing short of historic.
From winning the District 8 Championship to making a deep Region 4 Tournament run, the team has plenty to be proud of as they reflect on a season filled with hard-fought victories and memorable moments.
