Cougars roll past Heart River

Zoe Smalls picked up a big win on the hill this past Thursday, leading the Cougar girls to a 13-3 win over Heart River on the road.
Central McLean coach Kyle Hunt credited his own team’s pitching, adding that the Cougars were able to take advantage of Heart River’s struggles..
"Our pitchers had a better outing off the mound this game and we took advantage of a few errors and walks by them to get some runs on the board, commented Hunt. "All nine of our girls reached base at least once."
Central McLean’s Mariah Sellon paced the Cougars at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Katelyn Presser went 1-for-2 at bat.
