Cougars devour Warwick
BY RALPH MANCINI
After a dismal first half, the Cougars regrouped and rose like Lazarus in their 68-56 win over Warwick in the second of a trio of shootout games played Friday at Underwood High School.
Senior forward Julius Anderson helped cover for a bevy of careless passes and unforced turnovers by Central McLean in the first quarter by scoring 12 of his team’s 15 points in the initial frame.
After hitting one of two free throws at the 6:26 mark of the opening period, Anderson drilled a corner jumper at 3-2. He followed that up by stepping back a few feet from the same spot during the next possession and nailing a corner 3-ball.
