Cougars conquer Wildcats
The Central McLean Cougars girls basketball team defeated the Center-Stanton Wildcats 76-15 in the first round of the district five regional tournament Monday in Mandan. With four players landing double digit scores and a healthy mix of points down the bench, the Cougars offense maintained control of the court throughout the quarterfinal game. Senior Ashtyn Smith led the pack in scoring with 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Teammate Morgan Snyder matched Smith for three-pointers and racked up 13 points throughout the game. Adlyn Eng scored 12 points and Reagan Kjelstrup landed 11 points against the Wildcats.
