Cougars aiming beyond sub-region

Central McLean Softball Co-coach Ronda Knutson would love to have a junior high season as well as varsity and JV. With 34 girls signed up to play softball this season, she and fellow coach Trista Crimmins have more than enough girls to field all three squads.
With no junior high season, those young athletes will be waiting their turns to get playing time on the JV and maybe even varsity teams in this 2021 season.
The Cougars were all ready for last season when the pandemic hit, and this year they’re ready to hit the field swinging, led by senior returnees Mikayla LeRoy, Sophie Sparrow, Kaia Anderson and Mackenzie Holt.
