Cougar growl hushed by Storm
BY TODD M. KJELLAND
Homecoming for Central McLean started off hot and rowdy, only to have it end in a 30-14 loss for the Cougars. Central McLean came into the game with a 1-3 overall record and hosted the Grant
County/Flasher Storm, also with a record of 1-3, on Friday in Underwood.
Cougar fans had plenty to cheer about early in the first quarter after Central McLean stopped the Storm at the 5-yard line after four chances to score first.
On the Cougar’s first possession it took only two plays for the Cougars to strike first after senior running back Easton Frey broke around the left side and scampered down the home team sideline for a 90-yard touchdown run. The Cougars failed on the extra point attempt to make the score 6-0.
