Cougar golfers place 13th
The Central McLean Cougars golf team placed 13th overall at this year’s Class B State Golf Meet in Jamestown last week, tallying a team score of 867 for the two-day tournament.
The team’s three seniors paced the team, with Krista Blotske carding a 201 (104 and 97) finishing 30th; Lindsey Duben finished at 208 (107 and 101); and Paige Weisenberger scored a 220 (110 and 110) Shayna Crimmins was good for 242 (121 and 120), Lauren Jacobson 247 (129 and 117) and Keelia Charging 275 (141 and 134)
"I was so happy for my three seniors being able to play in another state tournament. The younger girls got some great experience," commented Cougar coach Toni Cottingham.
Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter won the team competition with a total of 758, while Kaitlyn Hubrig of Lidgerwood-Hankinson took medalist honors with a 164, shooting 82 on both days.
