Cossacks rally to knock off Cougars

The Max-Garrison-White Shield Cossacks pulled off a come-from-behind win last Friday, bumping off the home-standing Central McLean Cougars 6-5, when Cossack Nick Thompson slapped the game-winning single to score Noah Sloke, wiping out what had been a 5-0 lead for the Cougars.
The loss was a learning experience on intensity for the Cougars.
"When you’re up 5-0, you expect to win the game," commented CM’s Alex Jangula.
They’ve got to find a way to keep the momentum, he added.
"We’ve got to find that intensity to do in the third and fourth innings like we did in the first and second to knock it out," said Jangula.
Central McLean had jumped out to a 4-0 lead the first inning, increased it to 5-0 for the second and third before the Cossacks started coming back when Casey Kramer scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth inning.
