Comet boys begin season

The Underwood Comets boys basketball team traveled to New Salem last Friday night for their season opener. The Comets are young with only a few returning players and according to head coach Kyle Hunt, "It was a learning experience." "New Salem is one of the better teams in our region with two good players in Kautzman and Wolf," Hunt said. "Wolf is one of the best big guys we will see this year and we had a hard time keeping him off the glass." "We really will need to work on boxing out since we are undersized this year," he said. Hunt also hoped his team would do better defensively on the transition defense but realizes some of this will come when the boys have some more experience.
