CM Cougars win!

Spirits were high last week when the Cougars matched up with competitor Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood-Granville Wolverines. The Cougars split the night, but came home the winner 5-3 in the game that counted toward regional play. The Wolverines started out by putting two points on the board in the first inning, but the Cougars countered with three at the bottom of the first when Brenden Reinbold sent Matt Landenberger and Wyatt Colby home for two of the three points. Hard work and quick action kept the Cougars in the lead from that point on. Head Coach AnDrew Zurcher and Assistant Coach Scott Klett watched the team pull together as they held the Wolverines at bay through the second inning. Then in the third, the Cougars added another two points to extend their lead. Jeremy Wirtz was 3-3 on the night, Matt Landenberger was 3-4 with two runs. Mark Johannes was 2-3 with two RBIs and two runs.
