Central McLean starts strong at Hazen
By Michael Johnson, Editor
The Central McLean track and field team is always ready for some good competition and that’s what they got at their first meet of the season in Hazen. The team had a strong showing across the board as the boys and girls competed in a variety of events. "We always see good competition at Hazen in the distance events," Coach Lee Weisgarber said. And those that did well included Jacob Ruff, who had a good meet, placing fourth in the 400 meter run with a respectable first meet time, Weisgarber said. He also placed sixth in the 100 meter. Josh Hanson also looked strong in the 3200 meter, finishing sixth with a time of 11.21.
