Blotske takes medalist honors at Velva

The first meet was the charm for Central McLean senior Krista Blotske, who took medalist honors at Velva on April 16, shooting 87 to win the tournament.
She was the lone golfer representing Underwood, noted head coach Toni Cottingham, who had several of the other golfers with her at Close-Up in Washington, D.C., and New York. Stepping in as coach for her was Sammi Cottingham, who was a varsity player for the Comets and plays for Minot State University.
"Krista spent a lot of time earlier this season trying to simplify her swing, and it’s definitely paying off," said Toni Cottingham.
Other recent action saw the Cougars hosting a tournament last Thursday, then traveling to Bottineau this past Monday.
