Westridge holding fundraising tour

The Westridge Golf Course is good-to-go for this spring and summer’s golfers, and the club members are excited to show off the improvements that have been made to the club house over the winter.
To celebrate spring’s opening, show off the improvements and hopefully start building a fund toward making even more improvements this summer, the golf course is holding a wine and beer tour this Saturday. A cook-out at the clubhouse near Underwood courtesy of American Bank Center gets things underway from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by the tour to local “hot spots” starting at 6:30.
Stops on the tour include JD’s Garage, Levey’s Plumbing and Heating, UFS Lodge, Grimsley’s and The Rusted Rail.
Westridge is providing two trailers to transport the tourists to the different spots along the tour, so nobody will need to worry about driving during the tour.
This year each of the stops will have three different beverage options for folks to choose from, noted Lindsay Johnson, one of the event organizers. Typically the stops have featured two different drink options, but this year they will have beer, wine, and there is also an “other” category, which could be any variety of different drink options.
