Vote, make a difference

You have the chance to reelect two candidates for the city commission from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 8 at the Underwood City Hall. Leon Weisenburger and Roger Britton are seeking reelection on the commission. Leon Weisenburger has been on the commission for four years and he said in that time he has learned a great deal about how the city works. Weisenburger currently holds the water and sewer portfolios on the commission. He also has a class three water and sewer certification and wastewater certification. He feels these make him qualified for the position. He hopes to be re-elected and get the residents more involved with the city functions. "We don’t have anyone that comes to the meetings," Weisenburger said of the regular commision meetings.
