Underwood’s growth won’t stop soon

Underwood’s business district and residential areas are growing. There is no doubt about that and more businesses could be on the way. Those could provide ample opportunities for the community. Joe Fleischman, manager of Harper’s Hardware Store and All City Picture Framing in Underwood, is looking forward to bringing another opportunity to the community. Fleischman hopes to buy a building and start a consignment store in the near future. Fleischman’s plans for the store include breaking the inside of the store up into different spaces that could allow different groups to use different areas to display and sell their items. Each space can be utilized by groups that are willing to volunteer to work at the store for certain times of the day. "I want it to be a community store," Fleischman said. One that would allow the community to bring in items they don’t need and one that will allow others to make money off those items through shared responsibilities.
