Underwood students prepare for the annual Entrepreneur Expo

For 35 years, students in Underwood have created companies. From conception and marketing, business plans and presentations, local students compete for cash awards during the annual Entrepreneur Expo.
The Central McLean News-Journal caught up with some of the student’s getting ready to pitch their plans to local business owners – a la Shark Tank - on March 2nd.
From mobile movie theaters complete with concessions, to top-tier baked goods and next-generation protein snacks, these students have invested time and energy into their visions.
(Candidly, this reporter was very impressed.)
One student, Carter Johnson, will present two companies. One focusing on reselling car parts and the other selling Hot Dogs and Crinkle Fries Deli Style (the company’s name is an homage to his grandfather, but that’s for next week’s story).
In short, I think I will probably work for one of these kids someday. Stay tuned for coverage from the event March 2nd in Underwood.
