The Underwood City Commission passed a motion to increase the fee for residents to have water turned back on after 60 days of non-payment. The motion will likely move to a resolution before enactment, which will be discussed at the next city commission meeting August 22 at 6 pm.
Currently, there is a onetime fee of $40 plus $15 per month of non-payment to restore water services in Underwood. The motion will increase the one-time fee to $250. Residents will still be responsible for the $15 per month delinquent fee, as well as the amount of the water bills.
