UFD benefit funds going to help one of their own

Underwood’s Alex Fischer easily reels off the date “twelvenine-nineteen” without a second’s thought. It’s the day he was shot while just hanging out at his townhouse at the campus
of Wahpeton’s North Dakota State College of Science.
That’s the night he was hit by the bullet from a 9-mm handgun held by his roommate. The bullet went through his right thumb, exited out the side of his hand, then entered his
right leg, traveling down his femur, where it lodged itself. His roommate took him to the hospital in Breckenridge right away, and he was immediately airlifted to Fargo
Sanford, where he stayed for seven more days.
