Two school board spots up for vote
There will be two names on the school board ballot on June 10, as current school board president Brad Landenberger is running unopposed for the rural seat he currently holds, while Chad Weisenberger has filed to run for the city position currently held by Mike Heger. Although not on the ballot, Heger has thrown his hat in the ring as a write-in candidate after he inadvertently failed to file for re-election before the deadline.
The candidates were invited to answer four questions before the election, in an effort to get their views out to the public before everyone is asked to cast their vote.
The school board election will be held at the school June 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Underwood School is the only polling site this year.
